A first and a second place, for a two-day ski jump that could not have gone better for Lara Malsiner.
The blue was looking for answers after the last tests of the Summer Grand Prix and, although obviously in a context of very different levels, the FIS Cup races in Villach were important. On Saturday the place of honor behind Nika Prevc, in front of about ten points in the Val Gardena style, with the third place for Zupancic; Sunday the victory with a good margin (almost 9 points) over the Chinese Peng, while the Czech Ulrichova completed the podium. Sister Jessica, on the other hand, placed sixth and fifth respectively in the two tests.
In the men's field, the two races in Carinthia smiled at the hosts with Janni Reisenauer who signed a brace, while Daniel Moroder only touched the points zone for Italy.
In the women's Continental Cup stage in Oslo, on the other hand, it was German domination with a hat-trick in race 1, the result of the success of Katharina Althaus in front of compatriots Pauline Hessler and Juliane Seyfarth, with the same podium 24 hours later, with the exception of third place (Seyfarth finished fifth) went to the Austrian Wiegele. Discreet placements for the blue: in race 1 Asia Marcato 22nd, Martina Zanitzer 26th, Camilla Henni Comazzi 27th, in race 2 Zanitzer climbed up to 18th place, with Comazzi 25th.
The weekend in Norway, however, also gave us the splendid return of Daniel Andre Tande: less than six months after the terrible crash in Planica, the Scandinavian champion returned to the Continental Cup and did really well, finishing 9th in the first meeting on Saturday and even 4th Sunday, in very good races with the Norwegian Buskum to overtake the Austrians Fettner and Kahofer, and then leave room for compatriot Villumstad, who in race 2 ruled the same Fettner, again second, and the Pole Wolny.
