Summer Grand Prix in Wisla: it's Poland again with Dawid Kubacki, one of Bogataj's bis women

After Wolny's seal, the second race is for his compatriot with Jan Hoerl again second. Lara Malsiner the only blue in the points (19th): next stop in Courchevel.

It is Poland again in Wisla, in an opening of the Summer Grand Prix 2021 entirely for the hosts. After Saturday's seal signed by Jakub Wolny, yesterday it was the turn of Dawid Kubacki, who dominated the second race of the summer circuit (which he now leads with 160 points, after the third place 24 hours earlier), finishing with over 6 points margin on Jan Hoerl, second as in race-1. In third place Anze Lasinek, with Markus Schiffner forced back to the foot of the podium in front of the second Slovenian, Tilen Bartol who had to settle for 5th place ahead of Wolny and Markus Eisenbichler. Among the women, Ursa Bogataj had an encore: as in the first test on the Polish springboard, the Slovenian preceded Sara Takanashi by two and a half points, still second ahead of Marita Kramer, third with a margin over her compatriots Pinkelnig and Iraschko-Stolz, fourth and fifth respectively. After 21st place in the first race, Lara Malsiner improved by a couple of positions to finish 19th, while her sister Jessica stopped in the first series, with the 40th score. Next appointment with the Summer Grand Prix scheduled in Courchevel on 7 August.
