Summer Grand Prix: Bresadola dreams of the podium, then closes 8th in Courchevel on the great day of Fettner's premiere

The blue jumper gets the best result of his career in the 2nd stage of the summer jumping circuit, dominated by the Austrians. Women's race with two Slovenian Bogataj-Kriznar, good 9th place for Lara Malsiner.

A cherished dream, which vanished in the second series where, however, another confirmation of Giovanni Bresadola's exponential growth arrived. Of course, there were no big names from many nations in Courchevel, for the second round of the Summer Grand Prix 2022, but the jumper from Trentino played it out with important names in the summer test on the French trampoline, obtaining the best result of his young career with the '' final eighth place, just over 3 points from 4th place. The blue was fifth in the middle of the race, before paying something in the decisive series as did Alex Insam, at the end 17th. A dominant Manuel Fettner won, for the first time in the summer event (and had never been on the podium at the age of 37!). The "second career" of the Austrian veteran is at stellar levels and yesterday in Courchevel there was really no history, with a margin of 13 points on the first pursuers already in the opening series, to then check (with wind conditions unfavorable) in the second and triumph with over 12 points of margin against Gregor Deschwanden, second in comeback and able to prevent the Austrian hat-trick, given that Stefan Kraft is third and Daniel Tschofenig fourth, preceding the two norge Haare and Fannemel. The women's race on Saturday, on the other hand, saw the usual unstoppable Slovenians: clear success for Ursa Bogataj with almost 19 points ahead of compatriot Nika Kriznar, while the French Julia Clair gave herself a good third place at home, preventing the podium all at home Slovenia with Nika Prevc forced to 4th place. There were three blue in the race: good Lara Malsiner, 9th, her sister Jessica closes 14th and Martina Ambrosi at the bottom of the standings, 30th. Next stage of the Summer Grand Prix, after a new long break, scheduled from 16 to 18 September in Rasnov, Romania. Meanwhile, the women's Alpen Cup was also competed over the weekend in Klingenthal. On the German trampoline, victory of the transalpine Lilou Zepchi who beat the two hosts Anne Haeckel (3 pt away) and Sina Kiechle (with a gap of 12 from the winner). Three blue in the race to finish in the top twenty, with Martina Zanitzer finishing in tenth place, Noelia Vuerich 15th and Anna Senoner 19th. Erika Pinzani finished 23rd, Giada Delugan 25th, Greta Pinzani 31st and Asia Marcato 36th.
