At the individual level, the cross-country skier pi & ugrave; titrated at the world championships considering both sexes & egrave; Elena Vaelbe, that between 1989 and 1997 he won 14 Ori (10 individual + 4 Relays) and 3 Silvers (2 + 1), but the Russian potr & agrave; be reached and passed over in this edition by Marit Bj & oslash; rgen, that in calculating the overall medals & egrave; gi & agrave; front, but that currently has "only" & nbsp; Ori 12 (8 + 4), 4 Silver (3 + 1) and 3 Bronzes (1 + 2). Among the men, instead the king of the world & egrave; Bj & oslash; rn D & aelig; hlie with 9 Ori (5 + 4), 5 Silver (4 + 1) and 3 Bronzes (all individual), but even in this case we will see a changing of the guard as Petter Northug & egrave; gi & agrave; Ori at 9 (5 + 4), but with only & nbsp; 3 Argenti (2 + 1). & nbsp;
Among the pi & blues ugrave; titrated & egrave; Stefania Belmondo, which has 4 Ori (all individual, two Falun conquered in 1993 and two in Ramsau 1999), Silver 7 (4 + 3) and two bronzes (1 + 1), while the male no one won more & ugrave; Silvio Fauner boasting 1 Gold (50 Km of Thunder Bay, 1995), 2 Silvers (15km pursuit of Thunder Bay 1995 Relay of Falun 1993) and four bronzes (15 Km in 1993 and the pursuit of Falun Staffette of Thunder Bay 1995 Trondheim 1997 Ramsau 1999).
A Falun have gi & agrave; played three editions of the World Cross Country. The first dates back to 1954 and saw on the shields of the Soviet Union (4 Gold and 1 Silver) and Finland (2 Gold, 5 Silver and 4 Bronze). The second & egrave; of 1974, with new success in the medal of & rsquo; Soviet Union (3 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze) in front of East Germany (2 Gold and 3 Silver) and Sweden and Norway (1 Gold and 1 Bronze each). Finally, the third was held in 1993 and saw excel Norway (4 Ori, 1 Silver and 4 Bronze) ahead of Russia (3 Gold, 2 Silvers and 3 Bronzes) and Italy (2 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze).
It should be remembered that in Falun you AFFECT & ograve; also the title of the world's 20 Km Female of 1980, because such evidence was not yet included in the Olympic program, and therefore does not disput & ograve; Lake Placid, home of the last Olympic Games with valence also World. He won the German dell & rsquo; east Veronika Schmidt before the Soviet Galina Kulakova and Raisa Smetanina.
The booty blue clay of Sweden coincides with the & rsquo; edition of 1993. In the heyday of skiing Italian, our boys won 2 Gold (Stefana Belmondo in 10km free technique for tracking and 30 km free technique ), 3 Argenti (Manuela Di Centa in the 30 km free technique, Relay Relay Male and Female) and one bronze (Silvio Fauner in the 15km free technique for tracking). Numbers in hand, l & rsquo; Falun edition of 1993 was the best ever for our colors at the World Cross Country.
