Alexander Bolshunov dominates the pursuit of Dobbiaco and leads the command of the Tour de Ski

The Tour de SKi in Dobbiaco still speaks Russian. The 15 km in classic chasing technique was dominated by Alexander Bolshunov, who cameback ahead of his compatriot Ustiugov.

During the first round Alexander Bolshunov and Calle Halfvarsson, who started 29 ”behind Sergey Ustiugov, entered the high gears, closing the gap with the tread. The Norwegian Hans Christer Holund also returned with them, but shortly afterwards he had to raise the white flag. At the command of the race, a trio remained with a margin of over 30 "on the chasing group. Shortly after the transition halfway through the race, Bolshunov decided to give a new impetus to the race and the Tour de Ski and launched a decisive attack, which put his compatriot on the rope and knocked out the Swede. For Bolshunov the first victory at the Tour de Ski arrived (the third in four races for Russia in this edition) and he conquered the leadership of the ranking. Iivo Niskanen, who started from 11th position, took the lowest step of the podium in the comeback, preceding with an action in the last lap the Russian Maltsev, Halfvarsson and the Norwegians Holund and Roethe. Instead he closed 10th at 57 "from the winner Johannes Klæbo.
