Coach of the Norwegian national team positive at Covid-19: team excluded from the Ruka stage?

The Scandinavian team is in isolation and the possibility of not seeing them on the track in the first races of this season is quite real.

From Ruka, a Finnish town that will host the first stage of the Cross-Country Skiing World Cup from tomorrow, comes a sensational news: the Norwegian technician Eirik Myhr Nossum's positive swab was found, according to what was communicated by the Norwegian Ski Association. The Norwegian team has already been placed in isolation, as per protocol, and at the moment the athletes cannot even take to the track to train; the risk of their exclusion from this first stage seems to be quite high, since the Finnish authorities, in the event of a close contact with a positive, provide for mandatory quarantine. In the next few hours the technician will be subjected to another swab, to confirm or not his positivity; if the result is confirmed, it will probably be a first stage without the Norwegian squadron.
