On Saturday 19 January in Switzerland La Diagonela, a 65-kilometer race in classical technique, was held as the third round of the Visma Ski Classics circuit.

In the men's field Team Ragde Eiendom monopolized the podium, placing first the Norwegian Andreas Nygaard good at mocking the sprint the compatriot and team-mate Tord Asle Gjerdalen winner last year of the series.
Third place for the Swedish Oskard Kardin detached of 1 "9 from the summit that preceded by 1" 5 the leader of the general classification Petter Eliassen (Team BN Bank). Tender undertone for the Norwegians Simen Oestensen (twelfth) and Morten Eide Pedersen (sixteenth) who on the eve of the Swiss test were respectively in second and third position in the free Visma Ski Classics. Ranking that is always commanded by Eliassen but now has to look back from Nygaard detached of 36 lengths and Gjerdalen distant 65 points from the summit.
Among the women, the success of Czech Republic representative Katerina Smutna (Ed System Bauer Team) with a total time of 3h28''22 "2 crossed the finish line with a 2" 2 lead over the Norwegian Kari Gjeitnes (Team Ragde Eiendom). Third position for the Swedish Britta Johansson (Lager 157 Ski Team) that after two consecutive victories ends in Switzerland its series of seasonal successes.
In the general classification Johansson continues to lead the rankings with 65 points ahead of Astrid Slind (fourth at Diagonela ed), while in the third place is the Smutna stage winner.
In Casa Italia there is the twenty-first place in the women's field of Chiara Caminada, while among the men the best of the Azzurri was Francesco Ferrari forty-second, both drivers of the Trentino Robinson Trainer Team.
The next appointment with the Visma Ski Classics series is the long awaited Marcialonga which will take place on Saturday 27th January along the 70km linking the Val di Fassa to the Val di Fiemme.
