Attention to Therese Johaug, will be competitive even in the sprint?

Now for a three-year period from Therese Johaug'' life along with Marit Bjoergen and Justyna Kowalczyk to a triarchy cross-country skiing women leaving the crumbs to the rest of the world. The twenty-five Norwegian, however, always been the weakest of the trio because of the gap in the "sprint".

In fact, the young Scandinavian while proving to the level of the two rivals in the competition away, it's always game beaten in the race for overall World Cup as a non-competitive in the shorter race format. The big handicap, however, could be overcome (at least partially) from the new winter. In recent days, the Norwegian team held a series of tests at Holmenkollen which revealed a surprising finding: Johaug managed to beat all the sprinters, including specialists such as Maiken Caspersen Falla and ngvild Flugstad Ostberg. The head coach Egil Kristiansen said he was impressed: "we must take into account that the track was tough, so favorite a little Therese, and that we are in October. But I've never seen Johaug so strong. Physically it is more , or less than the level of last year, but has improved in several areas. " Kristiansen, however, is cautious about the possibility of seeing the tiny Norwegian competitive in the sprint'' during the winter: "I doubt he can fight for the podium in the sprint World Cup, but certainly a step forward on shorter distances will allow , to lose less seconds during testing multistage like the Tour de Ski and thus increase his chances of victory in these contexts.
