Azzurri ready to return to Lama Mocogno: from 4 to 13 September in the Modena Apennines

Pellegrino (still in the first phase of post-injury recovery) and teammates expected for a new meeting in the federal center.

We return to Lama Mocogno, for the first time during this summer preparation that will see the national cross-country ski team, with its World Cup team, climb the Modena Apennines for the training scheduled at high altitude from 4 to 13 September. The blue technical director, Marco Selle, has summoned Federico Pellegrino, who last Tuesday turned 30 and is still recovering from the injury suffered to the hamstring during the August stage in Oberhof, Francesco De Fabiani, Maicol Rastelli, Giandomenico Salvadori , Lucia Scardoni and Greta Laurent, with the technicians Stefano Saracco and Francois Ronc Cella, as well as the physiotherapist Christophe Sovoye, following the team. For the 18th consecutive year the FISI has chosen the Lama Mocogno Cross-country Center, considered the cross-country skiing capital in central Italy. Athletes will train in the territory of the Piane di Mocogno, an excellent location for sports training thanks to the landscape formed by natural ups and downs, the many sports facilities and the numerous paths suitable for trekking, mountain biking, roller skiing and running. The national team will stay at Villa Clorè Hotel & SPA and will spend part of the training period at the federal center, hosted by the ASD Olimpic Lama Ski Club, with the support of the partners of the Food For Win project (Caseificio Sociale Il Casello, SAP Salumificio Artigianale Pavullese and La Sorgente Fabbriche Del Benessere) and of F.lli Barbieri carpentry, Canovi Costruzioni, Crovetti Dante, Conad Superstore and Barchemicals. The withdrawal of the blue representative will be celebrated on Tuesday 8 September, at the open-air theater "La Rotonda" of Lama Mocogno with an event open to all. “It is a great honor for us to receive the Italian national team once again - declared Federico Barbieri, President of the Lama Mocogno Fund Center - especially in such a difficult year marked by the health emergency. The ceremony on 8 September will be a moment of shared celebration, but carried out in full compliance with anti-covid regulations, to celebrate our athletes, sport and Italy ”.
