Bjrgen already ahead of all

Would it not be - at least for now - unplayable as other times, but Marit Bjørgen has already returned where competes: topped the charts. The most successful long-distance runner of all time has indeed won the 10 km classic technique of Ruka, having already given proof of their condition in the Beitostølen last week's distance.

The 36-year old Norwegian, already second after 1.2 km, at 3/10 from a defiant Justyna Kowalczyk, took the lead of the ranking the survey of 3 km, no longer sell it, but failed ever to build a margin entirely reassuring. The first to threaten his leadership was Heidi Weng, capable, after a relatively cautious start (5a to 7.8 seconds at the second intermediate), to file the gap by compatriot in the middle phase of the race, until they are presented to the 6 km and 200 meters with liabilities of less than two and a half seconds. The duel between Norway, however, has faithfully followed the plot already seen in the 10 km TL of Beitostølen, and the recovery in the second third of the race by Weng was followed by a new and decisive extension of Bjørgen in the final. Between the two, a little later, he has entered Krista Pärmäkoski, went to seize the podium that the Finns had tasted yesterday after the best time in qualifying. The hostess, very close to Bjørgen first half (+1.7 s), sold something in the first part of the second session, before staging a final extraordinary that even allowed to chew a couple of seconds to the winner. The first three have actually played a game apart from the rest of the world: the passive of the fourth, ingvild flugstad østberg, it is already well more than half a minute. Rounding out the top 5 was a convincing Nicole Fessel, the best career result in a 10 km CT. Also in the 10 Laura Mononen, Victoria Carl, Stina Nilsson, Justyna Kowalczyk - fell dramatically in the second half after a very aggressive start - and Astrid Jacobsen. Distant from the points the two Italian race: Virginia De Martin Topranin finished in 45th place, Lucia Scardoni in 48th. 10 KM TC FEMALE RUKA - FINAL 1. Marit Bjoergen (NOR) 26: 55.2 2.
