BlinkFestivalen opened by Musgrave and Slind: today the seasonal debut of Lisa Vittozzi in the Lysebotn

At Sandnes the 2019/2020 vintage officially began for many cross-country skiers and biathletes, with the Azzurri protagonists of the Norwegian festival.

The BlinkFestivalen was opened on Wednesday evening by Blink Classics, the 60 km classic technique that spoke British in the men's field, with Andrew Musgrave (who lives and trains in Norway) set in the sprint, after 2h17 '' of effort, in front of the hosts Simen Hegstad Kruger and Morten Eide Pedersen, but also the eighth place of Sjur Roethe and the 12th of Sergey Ustiugov. Among women, the all-Norwegian podium with Astrid Oeyre Slind (who spent 2h23 '') who clearly broke her rivals, starting with Thea Murud and Hedda Oestberg Amundsen. Today we get to the heart of the summer event par excellence, with the Lysebotn Uphill Race, the test on roller skis which includes 7.5 km uphill to be tackled: a main course with women, starting at 13.50, since they will be in the competition no less that Therese Johaug and Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg, but above all many protagonists of the biathlon world starting from Lisa Vittozzi, in her first season. Together with the sappadina, Makarainen, Roeiseland, Eckhoff, Tandrevold, Yurlova, Davidova and Vitkova in the race, while the boys will start at 3.35pm, with Francesco De Fabiani in the race after completing the 60km classic in 50th place.
