Sweden loses one of the top athletes ahead of the last three races of this Tour de Ski. Linn Svahn in fact tested positive at Covid-19 after the swabs performed yesterday by the Scandinavian team once it arrived in Val di Fiemme. The young cross-country skier is asynotmatic and was immediately isolated from the rest of the team once she discovered the positivity.
"Linn feels great. We immediately tried to figure out who were the last people to have been in contact with her, and they were promptly isolated. I am so sorry for Linn because she was fine and could still do well in this event; at the same time I hope that the situation has been handled well and that there will be no other problems in the next few days "- the Swedish national doctor" Pliggen "Andersson, who at the moment is not even with the swuadra in Italy, explained in videoconference.
For Linn Svahn, therefore, a Tour de Ski ends, which in any case has been able to give her satisfaction. After winning the inaugural sprint in Val Mustair, she was able to repeat herself the following day, winning mass start in classic (first career success in a distnace test). The sprint on Saturday thus loses one of its main protagonists, since Svahn could be considered as the number one favorite.
The case of Linn Svahn is the second positive Covid-19 recorded at the Tour de Ski; on Monday the French national coach Alexandre Rousselet tested positive for the swab.
