In Val di Fiemme the countdown for the arrival of the 17th Tour de Ski has started, from 6 to 8 January 2023. The international cross-country ski champions will give three days of great show at the Centro del Fondo di Lago di Tesero, host site of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, and with the classic arrival on Cermis, with the Final Climb that will decide everything.
The "Monster Climb" will also be a challenging terrain for those who will take part in the 12th edition of the "Rampa con i Campioni", the open promotional race that has recently opened registrations, dedicated to those who want to live the experience as a protagonist competing in the same format as the big names in the World Cup on Sunday 8 January. Exponents, well-known faces of cross-country skiing or simply aficionados of the discipline will parade in the particular 10 km Mass Start starting from the Olympic stadium, then cross the track of the legendary Marcialonga and finally wheelie along the steep slopes of the Olimpia III alpine ski slope in the Dolomites Superski.
There will be no discounts as regards the slopes: in the famous zig-zag climb you will touch peaks of 26.5% in the "Jump of Skiri" section and then jump in the "The Deer''s Den" section with peaks as high as 28. % dependence. La Rampa con i Campioni, which started as a simple side initiative in 2011, has now become an increasingly important and acclaimed event by the public thanks to the highly respected performances of former athletes, including the Trentino Olympians Cristian Zorzi, third in the first edition of the " Rampa ”won by Bruno Debertolis, and Antonella Confortola, queen of the Rampa in 2018 and 2016 and second in 2014.
Also paraded were former German cross-country skier Peter Schlickenrieder, Olympic silver medalist in Salt Lake City 2002, Norwegian Petter Northug, with 16 world and 4 Olympic medals around his neck, Justyna Kowalczyk, the most successful woman in the Tour de Ski with 4 trophies. and first at the Rampa with the Champions in 2014, as well as the “fathers” of the Tour de Ski Jurg Capol and Vegard Ulvang, and many others. Over here? Of course not, Saturday 7 January at the Cross-country skiing center in Lago di Tesero there will be a riot of colors with the Coop Mini World Cup, a gymkana with obstacles dedicated to Babies and Puppies where the watchword will be fun.
The goal of Coop Norway, title sponsor of the event, is precisely to promote youth competitions and skiing among the little ones, giving the opportunity to cheer on the stars of the moment. Tour de Ski and Tour ... del Gusto: on Sunday 8, in the festive atmosphere that will accompany the coronation of the new king and the new queen of the central appointment of the season, it will be possible to taste the typical products of the Val di Fiemme and Trentino directly on the track thanks to the stands organized by the Fiemme associations.
