The Wada announced that it would not appeal against the judgment of the Norwegian anti-doping tribunal on the case Johaug.

The twenty-eight Dalsbygda was found positive to Clostebol during a surprise inspection carried out on September 16, 2016. It is justified by claiming to have accidentally taken the substance through the 'use of a cream, Trofodermin, used to treat un''ustione to his lips.
In late November 2016, the 'Norwegian anti-doping agency has partially accepted dell''atleta justification, requiring disqualification of 14 months, believing that he had been guilty of negligence, although not significant.
On 10 February 2017 the Norwegian Doping Tribunal ruled in favor dell''accusa and sentenced Johaug, however squalificandola for 13 months (one less than the request). A penalty which would allow the Norwegian cross-country skier get back on track November 18, 2017 and take part in all of next season.
At the time of the verdict, all the five parties had the right to appeal: Johaug, the Norwegian Olympic Committee, the IOC, FIS and WADA.
The first two mentioned have immediately accepted the ruling and, a few weeks later the International Olympic Committee did likewise. The international ski federation, however, has decided to appeal to CAS in Lausanne, believing too mild sanction.
They remained to understand the World Anti-Doping ENISA intentions, which finally opted for holding fair worth.
Therefore it remains standing only the use of FIS. It is unclear when there will be the 'hearing before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, but in all likelihood have to wait for late spring.
The CAS ruling will put the tombstone on the matter, as final.
