Charlotte Kalla: Those of PyeongChang could be my latest Olympic Games

On the day of her 30th birthday, Charlotte Kalla has released an interview with Exxpressen where, among the topics she has touched, there has been her future.

"I feel that time is really flying. I do not feel over them, these 30 years. Perhaps only now I realize I'm closer to the end of my career than it's at the beginning. Yet, if I think of my competitive activity, the feeling is the same as when I had just finished the superiors and I was at my first professional athlete season. Today's motivation is the same as 8 years ago. I continue to study where and how to improve myself as a fundraiser. In this sense, it is crucial to have a goal and a motivation. Surely the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games are a great incentive to be motivated. However, they may also be my last races at Five Circles. Sincerely, I do not know if I will continue until Beijing 2022. Four years are long. I can tell you that I'm going to be part of the World Cup at Seefeld 2019. After that event I will reflect on my life and decide what to do. I could go on, but I could also quit. We'll see…". Kalla has now become a specialist in getting to the top of the state in the grand seasonal event. This is demonstrated by the 8 individual medals collected between the Olympics and the World Cup in his career, to which 9 more are added in team trials, where he often played a decisive role in Swedish fortunes. In the Games, Kalla already has 2 gold (10 km of Vancouver 2010, Sochi 2014) and 3 silver (Team Sprint in the Canadian edition, Skiathlon and 10 km in Russian). Will PyeongChang be equally rich?
