Twelve Azzurri for Davos: without Pellegrino, Italy is still betting on Mocellini and De Fabiani

Saturday and Sunday the two days of the Swiss World Cup (with the return of Klaebo): last-minute package for Caterina Ganz, five girls called up.

Davos is ready to host a new weekend of CdM for cross-country skiing, with the expected return to the race, after missing the entire Beitostolen stage, by Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo, natural favorite for the Sprint in free technique scheduled for Saturday, even more so since Federico Pellegrino will not be in the match even in Switzerland (just as the leader of the general Paal Golberg will not be there). The Valle d'Aosta champion is experiencing days of great expectation together with his wife Greta Laurent, given that it could be a matter of hours for the arrival of the eldest son of the family, with the technical director Alfred Stauder who has therefore summoned 12 athletes for the appointment on the Swiss snows. Absent in the last hour Caterina Ganz due to a strong cold, will compete Francesco De Fabiani, Giandomenico Salvadori, Paolo Ventura, Giacomo Gabrielli, Mikael Abram, Davide Graz and Simone Mocellini, amazing protagonist in Beitostolen with second place in the sprint in TC , as regards the men's team, while the women's team will count on a quintet with Francesca Franchi, Nicole Monsorno, Cristina Pittin, Martina Di Centa and Anna Comarella. After the opening sprint, Sunday it will be the turn of 20 km in free technique. The athletes involved in the Alpen Cup circuit in St. Ulrich were also on the track over the weekend, with numerous Azzurri present in the senior and junior categories: called up for Hannes Oberhofer, Davide Oberhofer, Davide Ghio, Martino Carollo, Aksel Artusi, Nadine Laurent, Elisa Gallo, Iris De Martin Pinter, Maria Gismondi, Elia Barp, Michael Hellweger, Fabrizio Poli, Riccardo Bernardi, Alessanro Chiocchetti, Giovanni Ticcò, Federica Cassol, Martina Bellini, Eugenia Boccardi, Chiara De Zolt Ponte and Stefania Corradini. In Austria there will be a sprint in classic technique on Saturday 17 December and a 10 km in free technique on Sunday 18.
