The cross-country skier Ukrainian Navy Lisogor tested positive for trimitazidina to a doping control during the Olympic Games in Sochi.

The news was made public this morning by the COU, the Ukrainian Olympic Committee. This is the third case of doping of these Olympics after that of the German biathlete Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle and that of the Italian bobista William Frullani. Probably the news of his positivity had already reached a few days ago as Lisogor, paired with Kateryna Serdyuk, is no match in the women's team sprint though proves enrolled.
In his defense Lisogor said to have taken a medicine without knowing that it contained substances prohibited by the Anti-Doping Rules. A final decision will be taken by the COU by applying the rules of the International Olympic Committee.
Lisogor, which in May will turn 31 years old, had completed fifty-eighth is the 10 km classic technique sprint free technique. In the Ukrainian career has never ended a World Cup race in the points, and not even in the main event has never managed to finish among the top thirty one individual test.
