The Norwegian champion told TV2 that she wants to become a mother after the assault on the first individual Olympic gold medal at the Games in China: could she then continue to Milan-Cortina 2026, with the 10,000 on the track in the middle?

Therese Johaug, 33, after the Beijing 2022 Winter Games, where she is hunting for her first personal Olympic gold, her great seasonal and career goal, told Tv2 that she wants to take a gap year to become a mother.
Just as the other great Norwegian cross-country skier Marit Bjørgen did, Johaug also plans to return to the races at the World Championships at Trondheim in 2025. And given the good recent results obtained also in the 10,000 track, it is not to be excluded that it can be seen at the European Championships in Munich 2022 or Rome 2024. For one with its engine and ambitions, even the Paris 2024 Summer Games would not be a chimera.
With the next Olympics around the corner, scheduled for tight skis in a special setting like Val di Fiemme, would you extend your career at Milan-Cortina 2026 at that point?
