The Czech Republic has announced the list of skiers who will participate in the Olympic Games in Sochi.

They will go to Russia nine cross-country skiers, five men and four women. This is the complete list of those summoned

The most observant will have noticed the absence of veteran Martin Koukal, world champion in the 50 km freestyle in Val di Fiemme in 2003 and last factional in Vancouver when the Czech Republic won the bronze medal in the relay. However Koukal, despite not yet having been withdrawn, for three years he devoted himself almost exclusively to the FIS Marathon Cup, so his absence is not surprising.
In addition to the aforementioned bronze in the relay, the Czech Republic also won another medal in cross country skiing at the 2010 Games, also in bronze, to Lukáš Bauer in the 15 km free technique. The leader of the Czech movement has also won a silver in the 15 km classic technique of Turin.
