Frida Karlsson, what a feat in the 30km of Oslo. Joke in the Johaug ending

In the temple of Nordic skiing, the 21-year-old Swede has accomplished a feat that will remain in the annals of the discipline. A beautiful race, which seemed already written, but in the end it proved to be very uncertain up to the last meters.

As expected, Therese Johaug approached the race on the attack and after a few kilometers greeted the company of the opponents. The Norwegian's solitary escape has taken on more and more consistency, reaching the minute advantage. The table seemed set for the umpteenth season seal of the champion, but it did not. In the last part of the race, after changing the skis, the situation turned completely upside down in favor of the pursuers. At the beginning of the final round Ebba Andersson and Frida Karlsson went on the attack, so much so that they almost managed to halve the gap from the tread. Karlsson decided that the venture was possible and set out to hunt Johaug. After completing the comeback one kilometer from the finish, in the final he had no problems preceding the Norwegian in the sprint, hitting a very prestigious success at the end of a difficult season. The preparation of the materials has undoubtedly influenced the possibility of a comeback, but it does not detract from the number created by the Swedish talent. Sweden that also took third place thanks to an excellent Ebba Andersson, who finished 20 "behind the leading pair. The Swedish preceded the compatriot Charlotte Kalla 4a, the Russian Natalia Nepryaeva 5a and the German Katharina Hennig 6a at the finish line. The Finns Niskanen and Kylloenen, respectively 7th and 9th, the Slovenian sprinter Anamarija Lampic 8a and the Swiss Faehndrich 10a also finished in the top ten. Race to forget for the other Norwegians, all beyond the 12th square and for the blue Caterina Ganz and Sara Pellegrini, who closed well beyond the points area.
