Today we interviewed Gaia Vuerich, only 22 years old, but already solid reality in the World Cup Cross Country Skiing, especially with regard to the sprint free technique.

Hello Gaia, first of all congratulations for fourth place on Saturday, too bad for those lost 3 cents imbalance between the final straight and the splits, which would have meant your first podium. Can you give us your impression on the race and on the course?
On Saturday, the track conditions were really difficult, there have been many falls for the soft snow in which it was easy to miss the'' balance, my form was good and I knew I could do well, my goal was to get in on the eve 10. In the semifinals I was lucky because I was rescued as a lucky loser, the podium was really close but unfortunately I'm still missing a little something to climb, the results of this season give me a lot of confidence for the next!
What rating would you give to your Olympics? Disappointed by the lack of input in the final?
At my Olympics would give it a 6.5 good in the sprint, team sprint in less since I have to work a lot more in the classic technique. In the Olympic sprint past the quarterfinals believe it because I was very good and the skis were fast, however, I gave my best and I'm happy with my 7th place.
The fund cross-country skiing has been criticized for the results of Sochi, you were the one that got the best placement. Following the controversy that there have been, what is your opinion? Some more than others of sins? It 'requires a change?
I Olympics I lived quietly, this year I managed to isolate myself and to "keep out" problems or criticisms made against us, I managed to get to the race with the right concentration.
Are you disappointed with how things went at the World Under 23? Do you have any recrimination?
The world under-23 have been the biggest disappointment this season because I really wanted to win a medal. I'm very disappointed especially as I lost it'' s, wrong skis in the semifinals. However, I knew I was good and it gave me even more loads to do well at the Olympics!
How do you rate your season? Has not yet reached the podium even if you got there close to Nove Mesto, as well as Saturday to Lahti. Do you think there are chances in Drammen or Falun despite the classical technique or appointment postponed to the next season?
For this year'' chance of podium unfortunately I will not have anymore as in the classic sprint are too far behind to stronger, however I will give my best and hope to qualify in both the sprint. It will be very difficult but I hope to stay in the top 10 in the specialty. I'm happy with my season, in December I did a bit of trouble but the shape is uphill race after race and also the knowledge to do well.
As it is composed of a typical day, especially with regard to training?
I am lucky to have three different tracks close to home (Gaia is Cavalese, ed), 4 when flying marcialonga, I train mainly to Lavazé with the exception of quality work that they do in Lake Tesero. Mainly I train in the morning, almost always late morning, because I like to sleep, Cup races of the world are almost always around noon so I'm lucky.
How important is the fact that your father is your sister are in your own "working environment", even at the level of moral support around the world?
Having my sister in the World Cup means a lot to me, because it always helps me when he can,'' when there is also my dad is happy because it gives me a great hand with the choice of skiing. In Switzerland, for example, in the sprint of the Tour de ski, I told him with my ski man to choose me skiing. I swear! The day before the race I always call him to ask his advice about how to ski, then you are doubly lucky because I have a really good ski man, and this year has prepared me more missiles!
