Gare Ruka at risk for Sundby?

Just yesterday, Martin Johnsrud Sundby seemed optimistic about its participation to 15 km of Beitostølen TC. This morning, not only the holder of the crystal ball was instead forced to forfeit for the entire weekend of Beitosprint, but even his presence in the first stage of the World Cup, to be held in Ruka on 26 and 27 November, it appears in doubt.

"Martin has had a relapse," explained Petter Olberg, doctor of the Norwegian national team. "This morning, upon awakening, he felt unwell, and it is not prudent to take part in a race in these conditions." Dr. Olberg has stated that the decision would be the same even if it had been a test of the World Cup: "Today Martin would not have competed in any case. We monitored the progress of the situation to assess whether to start it in the coming days ". Sundby will not for the moment subject to any care, in hopes that rest is sufficient to enable him to recover in time to take part in the tests of Ruka. A final decision will be taken in the course of next week.
