The thirty-one year old from Ulricehamn closes her adventure in the World Cup with four victories to her assets, after eleven years in the top circuit.

Important retirement in the world of Swedish cross-country skiing: Hanna Falk, class of '89, announced the retirement through a post on her Instagram page.
Falk, who made her World Cup debut at just seventeen, in the Stockholm home sprint on March 21, 2007, represented Sweden one hundred and thirteen times in the World Cup, achieving four wins (all in sprint races) and another seven podiums on an individual level.
As her record shows she was one of the strongest Swedish sprinters of the last decade, with the only regret of never having obtained a medal in a major event, despite having taken part in four editions of the World Cup (Oslo 2011, Falun 2015 , Lahti 2017 and Seefeld 2019) and the Vancouver 2010 and Pyeonchang 2018 Olympic Games.
The first career victory came in December 2009, on the German snows of Duesseldorf, in a skating sprint; her last success in the World Cup dates back to 2018, when she triumphed in the home finals of Falun, always in a skating sprint. Hanna Falk took part in the last race of her career on February 7th, right on the track of her hometown (Ulricehamn), finishing fifth in the team sprint, after the 4th place in the individual sprint the previous day.
"I have been part of the national cross-country ski team for eleven years, I am proud and happy with what I have done in all this time. I am pleased to have finished my career in Ulricehamn, competing in a sprint. I thank all the people who have been close to me. and that have helped me throughout my career, major events (world and olympics) and many other things, without your support they would not have been possible! - Falk greeted the World Cup and the Swedish national team, but did not exclude participation in long distance competitions - "Now I will take a rest, if my back will allow it, I will try to realize my dream of competing over long distances. "
Many messages of affection arrived from teammates (Charlotte Kalla, Frida Karlsson, Ebba Andersson and Maja Dahlqvist) but also from the opponents of many battles (Eva Urevc and Laurien Van Der Graaff), demonstrating how much her figure was estimated at '' inside the world of cross-country skiing.
