After ten podiums, including third place in Ruka the past week, the moment has finally arrived: Heidi Weng triumphed in a sprint. With a textbook sprint Norwegian, until last year placed athlete of all time, he is his fourth victory with a textbook sprint.

The final straight the two Norwegians found themselves paired first, then Weng was able to gain a few meters and clinch his fourth success in top-level competitions in his career.

"I am very happy today. It's been six years since I got the 'last time on the podium. I had to wait long to come back here. I felt stronger and stronger during the various rounds, in the final I tried to follow Maiken and Heidi . "
Maiken Caspersen Falla: "I feel much better with second place today than last week in Ruka. I think I did a good race. I had some problems in qualifying and in the semifinals. My plan for the final was to remain always in the lead. "
Heidi Weng: "I did not think I could ski like in a sprint, but now everyone could see that they are fast. My final was very good, not so good going down, but today was incredible. It was a perfect day. "
