France has never won the Tour de Ski, and in sixteen editions (eight male and eight female) played so far won only two stage victories, one in 2006-07 (double tracking Oberstdorf thanks to Vincent Vittoz) and one in 2007-08 (15 Km follower Nove Mesto with Emmanuel Jonnier, pictured). The main candidates to become heirs of Vittoz and Jonnier are Maurice Manificat and Jean-Marc Gaillard: both are specialists in free technique, and both have always played good evidence, especially in climbing to Cermis. Given the good condition shown in Davos, sar & agrave; especially the 34 year old French Annemasse the greatest hope for winning at least a stage victory.
