The 29-year-old, who appeared in front of Tas on June 6, hoped to know the verdict by the end of July. But almost three months have passed since the hearing and the publication of the sentence.
At the moment Johaug is disqualified until November 18th for being found guilty of negligence in the involuntary recruitment of Clostebol. This way he could take part in the all-season 2017 - '18.
However, the FIS considered the 13-month sanction issued by the Norwegian Olympic Committee too bland and, according to rumors emerging from very reliable sources, would have required Johaug to be excluded from the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games.
For this to happen, disqualification should be extended to at least 16 months.
