The junior world championships in Nordic skiing started today on the Norwegian snows of Lygna. Russian hat-trick in the men's race, with Alexander Ivshin repeated the gold won at Vuokatti in the 30 km skating, Elia Barp 14th. Among women, however, gold for the German Helen Hoffmann, who improves the bronze won in the last edition; nineteenth Elisa Gallo.

After the Beijing Olympics, it's time for the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships. In Lygna, Norway, cross-country skiing competitions started today, which awarded the first medals at the junior level.
In the men's 30 km skating, Russia, as expected, literally left the crumbs to the rest of the competition, triumphing with Alexander Ivshin, who thus won again in the same format after the success obtained at Vuokatti 2021. Silver for Saveriy Korostolev, at '' 8 "from Ivshin, bronze for Nikita Denisov," 12 "behind the winner. In 4th place still a Russian athlete, Nikita Rodionov, for a sublime test by the Russian youngsters.
Elia Barp deceives for 2/3 of the race, remaining in the medal area for more than 20 km; the 2002 class, however, gave way in the final km, finishing 14th at 3''10 "5 from ivshin. Behind the other blue in the race, Pietro Zorzi, 52nd more than eight minutes behind the winner.
The German Helen Hoffmann takes gold in the women's 15 km TL, mocking the Swedish Lisa Eriksson, silver, for just over two seconds; bronze for another Scandinavian, the Norwegian Tuva Anine Brusveen-Jensen, 8 "2 behind Hoffmann.
Elisa Gallo enters the top 20, nineteenth at 2''19 "; 23rd place for Veronica Silvestri, while Denise Dedei finished forty-sixth.
Tomorrow will be the turn of the junior relays: at the men's level the 4x5 km will be staged, while at the women's level the 4x3.3 km.
