Kl bo flies in the Sprint of Oberstdorf, fourth Chicco Pellegrino

Once the disappointment for yesterday's skiathlon was over, the Norwegian today dominated the classic sprint, literally making the void in the final and closing alone with arms raised on the finish. In the women's field, the victory went to Russian Nepryaeva who preceded Lampic.

When it comes to sprinting, and especially sprinting in classic technique, Klæbo is unbeatable. If some doubts remained, today the Norwegian phenomenon has dispelled them all, winning, or rather dominating the sprint of Oberstdorf. With an impressive uphill action Klæbo won by detachment ahead of his compatriots Golberg and Valnes, for an all-Norwegian podium. Instead Federico Pellegrino had to settle for fourth place. In the women's field, the fight for victory involved Natalia Nepryaeva and Anamarija Lampic who, after registering the best qualifying times, dominated their respective heats. In the final the two made the difference on the second climb of the track and they played for the success in the sprint, where the Russian had the best of the Slovenian. Third step of the podium for Jessica Diggins, who redeems the disappointing performance in yesterday's skiathlon. The American preceded her compatriot Sophie Caldwell and the young Swede Linn Svahn 5a. Ane Appelkvist Stenseth finished the only Norwegian who managed to land in the final 6th. For Italy, Lucia Scardoni and Greta Laurent entered the points zone, both eliminated in the quarterfinals.
