Three weeks after the opening of the World Cup, Finn Haagen Krogh sets out priorities for the next season: in the first World Championships in Lahti, but special attention will also be reserved for the Tour de Ski.

"The primary goal will win my first individual medal at the World Cup," said the 26 year old to Tverrelvdalen, "In preparation we thought mainly to sprint skating. The other important goal will be the Tour de Ski. Not only for the prestige it has acquired, but also because I think it is very suitable to my characteristics. I really like the format of the competition. "
The hierarchy does not, however, result in a streamlining of the racing program: "My intention is to compete as much as possible," said Krogh. The intent, however, could clash with the new quota: "With less places available, it would be selfish snag one when it is not in good condition. So it might be better to skip a weekend, in favor of some more training. The competition in the team then it is so strong that no one can afford the bad results. "
Although the new rules can result in excellent exclusions, Krogh says he is convinced that Norway can derive benefit: "Less places and more domestic competition make life difficult, but we provide a further spur to reach an even higher level."
Just one of the reasons for Krogh was the main obstacle in the summer. "For a while 'I missed the usual stimuli," said the Norwegian. "But when it came the autumn, I found more and more reasons, and now I feel 100% load. I think the work has paid off. "
