From season 2017-18, Finn Haagen Krogh could leave the team sprint, led by Arild Monsen, to move to the allround Tor Arne Hetland. I said the same athlete to Nettavisen, during the training camp in Val Senales.

"I lived the beautiful seasons in the team sprint, I grew up and I found a good group," said Krogh, "but it is important not to sit on our laurels." The 26 year old from Tverrelvdalen has expressed its intention to "further growth" thanks to "a new environment and to slightly different stimuli."
The possible transition will be discussed with the leaders of the Norwegian national at the end of next season.
Krogh has pointed out that the decision is not dictated by problems with the current coach Monsen: "I and Arild we have a good agreement. It is also thanks to him that I discovered all my potential. He drove at the same time has left me some space. "
The relationship between athlete and coach has been consolidated over the years, after a rather complicated start: Monsen Krogh had indeed promised a place in the Olympic sprint of Sochi, before excluding the last moment in favor of Ola Vigen Hattestad. The latter won the gold medal and proved the reasons of the technical, but the choice was understandably greeted with little enthusiasm by Krogh. "It was a bad start, but I prefer to look forward rather than back," said the reigning world champion in the team sprint.
Monsen the same does not seem to oppose the change: "In the past, Finn Hagen had trained over longer distances, without prove particularly suitable. His recent advances make me think though that it is now able to be competitive even in the distance races, and it is natural that he thinks there. "
Tor Arne Hetland also opened the possibility: "Finn is in a position to choose the working group prefers. Until now, however, I think he has done well to stay in the team sprint. It has grown over the years under the leadership of Arild. We will speak of the future in the next spring. "
