The cross-country World Cup loses its pieces: Planica also jumps (also for the Nordic combined)

Due to the Covid situation, no pre-Olympic stage in Slovenia (21-23 January), where a total of seven races should have been staged.

The cross-country skiing World Cup loses its pieces and seriously risks not seeing competitions from the Tour de Ski, which ended last January 4, up to the first post-Olympics stage in Lahti, at the end of February. After the cancellation of the French round of Les Rousses in mid-January, the following week will not compete in Planica either, with the pandemic again protagonist as the Slovenian organizing committee cannot guarantee the necessary safety. From 21st to 23rd January, no sprint and skiathlon competitions, but not even the appointments of the maximum circuit as regards the Nordic combined (both men and women). The FIS has made it known that there could be a replacement location, but times are very short and the real risk is that we will go directly to China without further appointments.
