The cross-country skier Italian Valerio Checchi has been referred by the prosecutor for having missed three doping controls in the last eighteen months.

The Office of the Prosecutor has ordered the Anti-Doping following measure:
referral athlete Valerio Checchi (affiliated FIS) the First Chamber of the Court of the National Olympic Committee Anti-Doping for the recognition of responsibility for the violation of Article. 2.4. the WADA Code in relation to verbalization, in a time span of 18 (eighteen) months, n. Three (3) failures related to information whereabouts of athletes (whereabouts) belonging to three "controls Missed" with a request for disqualification for 1 year and 2 months.
Checchi, who will perform in April 34, has a victory in the World Cup won in the 15 km freestyle in Canmore held five years ago. In the last two seasons he has taken part in eight races of the maximum circuit as getting best placements two twentieths seats in the 15 km classic technique of La Clusaz and skiathlon in Sochi, both played a little over a year ago.
If the disqualification is confirmed, probably the career of the long-distance runner Lazio could be considered closed.
