The national teams of Norway for cross-country skiing 2014-15

The Norwegian federation announced the composition of national teams that will face the 2014-15 season.

There are no big surprises, although some internal modification is been carried out. Male Pål Golberg passes from the team sprint in the all around, while Finn Krogh Hagen performs the reverse path. In addition, Chris Jespersen, the great protagonist in the last Tour de Ski, is was formally introduced in the national elite with Simen Andreas Sveen, Didrik Tønseth and Simen Østensen. Sondre Turvoll Fossli instead will join the team sprint. Girls, Kathrine Harsem and Martine Ek Hagen are promoted in elite squad following the excellent results obtained last winter (the first won the Scandinavian Cup, the second two gold medals at the World Under-23). It should be remembered that among girls there distinction between team all around and team sprint, because all the elite are part of both. Despite not having officially retired, Vibeke Skofterud, Øystein Pettersen, Petter Eliassen, Niklas Dyrhaug and Tord Asle Gjerdalen have lost their place in the elite national team.
