The FISI communicated the composition of the national teams for the season 2017-'18. There are many changes in cross-country skiing since last year, even in the technical staff.

In the men's field the World Cup team doubled the number of its members. Confirmed Federico Pellegrino and Francesco De Fabiani are joined by Dietmar Nöckler and Domenico Salvadori, both promoted by Team A, where Maicol Rastelli remains, but Sebastiano Pellegrin will be aggregated.
Among the girls, the World Cup group will remain reserved for athlete Ilaria Debertolis, promoted by Team A. The latter level will have as its only component Caterina Ganz, in the 2016-117 part of the under25 team.
Three of the four women in the federal teams last year will become "Observe". This is Virginia De Martin Topranin, Greta Laurent and Gaia Vuerich, to whom the rediscovered Elisa Brocard is added. She is completely out of federal cadres Lucia Scardoni.

There are also some changes in the technicians.
