Martin Johnsrud Sundby and Aire yre Slind win the opening races of the Blinkfestivalen

It opened yesterday, with a day earlier than usual, the Blinkfestivalen. The traditional cross-country event and biathlon event held in Sandnes and the surrounding area (Norway) at the end of July began with a classic technique marathon: 60 km for men and 33.5 for women.

In the male field, with 61 departers, the first thirty miles have passed without shaky. The powders turned on after half-race on Sjur Røthe's and Simen Krüger's in-flight. Only the tandem made by Iivo Niskanen and Martin Johnsrud Sundby started their pursuit, while the rest of the group raised white flags. The two trackers managed to reach the fugitives, after which Sundby decided to impose their own rhythm on the three adventure companions. The first to jump was Røthe, who once lost the train decided to get up and get rid of the group. About a dozen kilometers from the finish line was Niskanen to surrender. Krüger, on the other hand, has kept the dangers of the phenomenal fellowship up to 300 yards from the finish, when Sundby has placed the decisive acceleration. So Oslo's thirty-fours have earned the prestigious success ahead of the admirable twenty-fourth, while the Finns sailed to third place, detached from 36 ". The group, over 2 minutes, was flown by Sergey Ustiugov. There is also Petter Northug, who, however, has struggled far and has stood in a 44th place, over 18 minutes from the winner.
