Loaded, smiling and determined: this is the image of Matteo Trentin (thirty-one, who boasts eight stage wins in the Grand Tours, vice world champion at Harrogate 2019) who for a few days "moved" to the snow to prepare for the season cycling 2021.
Trentin, joined by "Bicisport" on the slopes of the Lavazè pass in Vla di Fiemme, explained his specific training and what are the plans and objectives for the upcoming season: "As an activity in view of the start of the season, it is very useful, then it is a very nice sport to be able to practice. Soon I will start the first retreat with the new team, in Abu Dhabi, and then there will be the first seasonal races (Tour of Oman, UAE Tour); go through the cold of the Val di Fiemme at 40 ° in the desert will not be easy (laughs, ed) ".
"We hope that the general situation will improve too, in a way and way that there will be fewer problems at the general level. This year I am in a new team and I am very energized and determined. Participation in the lap? For us sprinters it does not fall in a fantastic period here, to get there not well prepared it would not make much sense to participate, we'll see ".
However, there has always been a particular feeling between Trentin and the world of snow: in addition to being originally from Borgo Valsaguna, in the province of Trento, he is married to the former Italian national skier Claudia Morandini.
