Northug and Johaug return to the national team

This morning the Norwegian federation announced the national teams for the 2018 season - '' 19.

Among the 24 selected cross-country skiers the names of Petter Northug and Therese Johaug stand out, returning to the national team after a season of absence. The first is a very disappointing winter veteran and has been included within the sprint team along with Eirik Brandsdal, PÃ¥l Golberg, Sondre Turvoll Fossli, Johannes HÃ¸sflot KlÃ¦bo, Finn HÃ¥gen Krogh and Sindre BjÃ¸rnestad Skar, who will train at the Arild Monsen. Remaining in the men's field, seven other athletes were selected to be part of the all-round team, including Niklas Dyrhaug, Hans Christer Holund, Emil Iversen, Simen Hegstad KrÃ¼ger, Sjur RÃ¸the, Martin Johnsrud Sundby and Didrik TÃ¸nseth. In this case the technical guide is still vacant after the removal of Tor-Arne Hetland but it should end up in the hands of Eirik Myhr Nossum. Johaug returns instead to the norge team after the disqualification for the positivity to Clostebol and will find himself to lead an orphan team of Marit BjÃ¸rgen but very talented. Together with Therese were selected Mari Eide, Maiken Caspersen Falla, Ragnhild Haga, Kathrine Rolsted Harsem, Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen, Ingvild Flugstad Ã˜stberg, Kari Ã˜yre Slind, Heidi Weng and Tiril Udnes Weng. Roar Hjelmeset has been confirmed as a trainer in the women's sector.
