Novak and Soemskar, double Swedish victory against the "norge" at the Blinkfestivalen

Federico Pellegrino is 18th in the 52 km "Blink Classic" which reward Max Novak for a whisker on Musgrave, while Linn Soemskar had no rivals in the women's race.

Max Novak won on the 52 km of Alggrd at the Blink Classic, which is the symbolic test of the week of the Blinkfestivalen. The first to cross the finish line of the men's race was in fact the Swedish specialist, who in the final defeated the Scottish Andrew Musgrave in the sprint, beaten by only one tenth after 1h59''21 "battle; to complete the podium, the Norwegian landlord Magnus Versterheim (+ 3 ”0), followed by compatriots Berg, Holgard and Riege. Fair performance by Federico Pellegrino, 18th (29 ”8 from the head) and constantly in the hot parts of the challenge along the 4 km of the 13 laps of the track. As for the other Azzurri, 31st place for a Francesco De Fabiani (+ 2 '' 02 ") who in the initial parts of the Blink Classic often led the group, while Giandomenico Salvadori (57th) and Davide Graz (58th) they completed the test about six and a half minutes from the winner. Swedish domination also for women, where Linn Soemskar wanted to imitate compatriot Novak to create a special yellow and blue brace. From the very first stages of the competition, it was understood that the three athletes most in the ball were the Swede herself together with the Norwegian Astrid Slind and the German Victoria Carl. Soemskar dominated the race proceeding in all solitude towards the finish line, crossed after 2h02''18 ”of the race, with more than two minutes of margin on the Slind; third place for Carl then at 5''11 ”with all the other opponents delayed by over ten minutes. No Italians in the race, since Anna Comarella did not start after a good 10th place the previous day.
