Let's toast with Franco Nones to a special birthday, for the one who on February 7, 1968, on the snow of Grenoble, became the first blue to win an Olympic gold medal on narrow skis, but also the first to interrupt Scandinavian domination, beating in the legendary 30 km of the Olympic Winter Games the Norwegian Martinsen.
From Castello di Fiemme to the myth, he who was already bronze with the relay at the 1966 world championships in Oslo, having already finished sixth in “his” 30 km.
The retirement after the 1972 Sapporo Games to become a very successful entrepreneur, maintaining that special bond with the background and those blue colors that he brought to Olympus.
