After the renunciation of the Scandinavian squads for the next round of the World Cup, the FISI has announced a quartet in Switzerland, with the final composition in the coming days after the Alpen Cup tests.

The world of cross-country skiing is in turmoil, with the sensational announcement of Norway, Sweden and Finland that they will not take part with their athletes in the World Cup stages scheduled for December, between Davos and Dresden.
The FIS, in the past few hours, has confirmed the appointments and the Italian national team itself, except for surprises, will be regularly at the start as confirmed by the Italian Winter Sports Federation by announcing the presence of Federico Pellegrino, Francesco De Fabiani, Giandomenico Salvadori and Greta Laurent already in the Swiss town to train for the race weekend of 12-13 December.
In Davos there will be sprints in free technique on Saturday, followed on Sunday by a female 10 km and a male 15 km, always skating. The technicians will define the other athletes at the start of the second stage of CdM, only at the end of the Alpen Cup races scheduled in Ulrichen and after a series of tests to be held in Livigno with the youth teams.
