There are eight blue athletes chosen by the technical director Marco Selle for the cross-country skiing World Cup stage, scheduled on the Swedish track of Ulricehamn, dedicated to sprint tests with an individual competition (the seventh of the season) in free technique on Saturday 6 February, followed on Sunday by a sprint team.
Leading the blue team will be Federico Pellegrino, leader of the specialty classification with 354 points against 289 of Russian Gleb Retivykh and 284 of Alexander Bolshunov, leader of the general and absent for this second consecutive Swedish stage after Falun.
In addition to the Valdostan policeman, Francesco De Fabiani, Davide Graz, Maicol Rastelli, Giacomo Gabrielli and Michael Hellweger will be in the men's field, with Lucia Scardoni and Greta Laurent working among the women.
