The two axes of Italian cross-country skiing are involved in the first meeting in collaboration with Russian athletes, under the supervision of the German technician Markus Cramer.

Through its official channels, the FISI reported the statements of Federico Pellegrino and Francesco De Fabiani directly from Ramsau, the Austrian town where the first meeting is being held for next season, together with the Russian athletes.
"We are training very well. The bad weather was unfortunately the protagonist but we are very satisfied with the welcome given to us by both the athletes and the technicians, as if we were part of the team. We remind you that Pellegrino and De Fabiani are training with the four Russian athletes (Gleb Retivych, Artem Maltsev, Sergej Ustjugov and Evegeniy Belov), by virtue of the agreement stipulated between the Italian and Russian federations, which allows our cross-country skiers to prepare the Olympic season together with the Russian team, under the orders of German coach Markus Cramer. This first meeting will end on Wednesday 2 June.
