Saturday and Sunday the two days of the World Cup on the German snow, traditionally dedicated to sprint tests: the Aosta Valley rider also won last year, but the podium is missing and the opponents are very tough.

The world fund lands in Dresden for the classic weekend of sprint tests scheduled on the ring of the German city.
On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19, there will be seven blues competing in individual races, scheduled for the first day, and the Team Sprint 24 hours later. Dresden is one of Federico Pellegrino's fiefdoms, who won here in 2018 and 2020, in the first case also signing the double in the team test paired with Dietmar Noeckler.
The Aosta Valley champion, still short of podiums after the first three World Cup Sprints between Ruka, Lillehammer and Davos, seeks redemption by leading a national team that will also count on Francesco De Fabiani, Michael Hellweger and Simone Mocellini among the men, with Greta Laurent, in the semifinals in the last two specialty races, point of reference for the women's trio with Nicole Monsorno and Elisa Brocard at his side.
Eleven instead the Azzurri of the fund called up for the Austrian stage of St. Ulrich, valid for the Alpen Cup circuit. Paolo Ventura, Martin Coradazzi, Davide Graz, Lorenzo Romano, Luca Sclisizzo and Alessandro Chiocchetti, while in the women's sector will be present in the senior category Anna Comarella, Francesca Franchi, Cristina Pittin and Martina Di Centa, with Sara Hutter among the U23.
