We clarify the situation. In the present state of things, the FIS has ruled Sundby only from the two races at the end of which & egrave; result of salbutamol have values above the permitted maximum, the 15 Km of Davos (won) and l & rsquo; Toblacher tracking of the Tour de Ski (in which he came third). L & rsquo; ouster from quest & rsquo; last test automatically implies l & rsquo; also excluded from the last two stages and the final classification of the Tour de Ski, as & egrave; evident that an athlete withdrawn for any reason can not be able to bring to an end a multistage competition.
The rankings are cos & igrave; been (temporarily?) rewritten: Didrik T ø nseth won the 15km Dobbiaco classic, No. 2 career win for him obtained less than a week after the first, l & rsquo; final tracking multistage Lillehammer. On the podium with him ascend Dario Cologna and Sjur R ø tea.
Also same approach in the three stages and the final results of the Tour de Ski: Dobbiaco third place & egrave; preserve of Evgeniy Belov, finished fourth in the sprint on the field to four won by Petter Northug in front of Daniel Richardsson. No substantial change in the 15 Km in Val di Fiemme (Sundby came eighth), while the Escalade to Cermis, together with Roland Clara and Maurice Manificat podium Toni Livers, who is back in the top three of a top-level race almost 8 years after his first and only victory in Davos in February 2007.
Of course it also changes the general classification of the Tour de Ski. With l & rsquo; exclusion of Sundby, Petter Northug debunks amazingly this tab & ugrave ;, gaining success in & rsquo; only first-level competition that was missing from his list and climbing at an altitude of 46 victories all inclusive career, only 2 away from the ski records men's Cross held by compatriot Bj ø rn D & aelig; hlie. Second place went to Evgeniy Belov and third to Daniel Richardsson.
The changes in the individual races cause changes also in terms of the assigned World Cup points, but Dario Cologna, who came second behind Sundby, defends his position despite the recoveries Northug different points thanks to the victory of the Tour de Ski. The Grisons wins cos & igrave; his fourth crystal ball in his career, taking cos & igrave; the lonely third place of this special classification behind Bj ø rn D & aelig; hlie (6 crystal balls) and Gunde Svan (5).
This & egrave; The situation made official by the FIS. Is not serious; however it excluded that, following the appeal that will surely Sundby porter & agrave; forward, the situation may change again.
