Norway, after a troubled eve, starts with the two best times in qualifying. For Italy good performance by "Chicco" Pellegrino and Greta Laurent.

Ane Appelkvist Stenseth set the best time in the qualifying round of the Sprint in Ruka, with a time of 2: 55.44. At home Italy Greta Laurent very well, who recorded the fourth time, 5 '' '' 92 behind the Norwegian; Lucia Scardoni also qualifies for the final stages with the 24th time. Eliminated Anna Comarella.
In the men's field instead the best time for Johannes Klaebo: the twenty-four year old Norwegian recorded a time of 2: 33.32. Federico Pellegrino did well for the blue team, who set the sixth time; Maicol Rastelli (29th) also qualifies in extremis. Eliminated Francesco De Fabiani and Giandomenico Salvadori.
The knockout stages will begin at 12:30.
