No surprise for the choices of two national teams who will certainly want to make a big voice in the prestigious competition.

Cross-country skiing Russia, at the beginning of the season, was one of the nations that has remained firmest on its position regarding participation in the various stages of the World Cup: do not stop and take part in all the stages.
Twenty, between male and female sectors, will be the alteti that will start on January 1st from Val Mustair in Switzerland.
The men's patrol will be led by top man Alexander Bolshunov, one of the main favorites to win the competition; together with the leader of the Russian team, Andrey Melnichenko, Artem Maltsev, Ivan Yakimushkin, Evgeny Belov, Alexey Chervotkin, Denis Spitsov, Gleb Retivykh, Ilya Semikov and Alexander Terentev were called up.
The women's team also starts with many ambitions: the three athletes on which the greatest hopes of important results are placed are Natalia Nepryaeva, Tatiana Sorina and Yulia Stupak. In addition to the three girls mentioned, six other athletes were precept: Alisa Zhambalova, Yana Kirpichenko, Anna Nechaevskaya, Anna Zherebyateva, Khristina Matsokina and Anastasia Faleeva (born in 2000 at the debut in the World Cup).
Given the absence of the Norwegian squadron, France also has an excellent chance of hitting important results, especially with men. In total, between the male and female sectors, fourteen transalpines have been selected for the stage event.
Nine athletes were called up among the men: Adrien Backscheider, Lucas Chanavat and Richard Jouve (who will certainly be able to compete for success in some stages), Valentin Chauvin, Jean Marc Gaillard (40 years old, at his fifteenth consecutive participation in the Tour de Ski), Hugo Lapalus, Jules Lapierre, Maurice Manificat and Clément Parisse.
Only five, however, the French cross-country skiers who will be at the start from Val Mustair: Coralie Bentz, Delphine Claudel, Flora Dolci, Enora Latuillière and Léna Quintin.
