The French Hugo Lapalus wins the Under 23 world title in individual skating, on the podium also the German Friedrich Moch and the Norwegian Iver Andersen. The women's race instead went to the Polish Izabela Marcisz, ahead of the Swedish Lindstroem and the Norwegian Amundsen. Junior titles have also been awarded: among the men the Norwegian Moerk won gold, preceding the host Stahlberg and the Canadian Leveille; 7th the blue Elia Barp. In the women's competition, the Russian one-two, with Stepanova in front of Krupitskaya, the Norwegian Bergane third.

Third day of competition in Vuokatti, where the Junior Cross-Country Skiing World Championships are taking place. During the day today the individual competitions of the Under 23 and junior categories were staged, all in skating.
In the men's Under 23 race (15 km) the success went to the French Hugo Lapalus, an athlete already sailed in the World Cup, 10th in the last Tour de Ski. Silver for the German Friedrich Moch, bronze for the Norwegian Iver Andersen.
The Italians were behind: Davide Graz finished 22nd, Giovanni Ticco 28th, Michele Gasperi 30th and Martin Coradazzi 43rd.
The women's race (10 km) saw Polish Izabela Marcisz win gold, second place for the Swedish Loiuse Lindstroem, already medal in yesterday's sprint; 3rd place for the Norwegian Hedda Amundsen.
The best of the blue was Martina Di Centa fourteenth. Twenty-first Chiara De Zolt Ponte, thirty-first Nicole Monsorno.
In the men's junior category (10 km) gold medal for the Norwegian Martin Moerk, silver for the Finnish Alexander Stahlberg and bronze for the Canadian Olivier Leveille.
Good 7th place for our Elia Barp; the other blues in the race: Luca Sclisizzo finished 18th, Fabio Longo 20th and Nicolò Cusini 35th.
Russia instead dominated the women's race (5 km), taking home gold and silver: Veronika Stepanova triumphed in front of Evgeniya Krupitskaya. Third was the Norwegian Margrethe Bergane.
Eighteenth Veronica Silvestri, twenty-seventh Sara Hutter, thirty-fourth Lucia Isonni and 40th Iris De Martin Pinter.
Tomorrow it will be the turn of the junior relays and the Under 23 mixed relay.
