The FISI, today, issued the convocations of all the teams (excluding the men's alpine skiing team) of the disciplines that will be competing in China. In cross-country skiing Italy will be represented by twelve athletes, six men and six women.

A day of convocations for Italian winter sports, in view of the next Olympic Games in Beijing, starting on Friday 4 February 2022. Cross-country skiing will be present in China with a contingent of twelve athletes, divided equally between the men's and women's sectors. These are the choices of the president of the technical director of the Italian national team Alfred Stauder, under the supervision of the president of the FISI Falvio Roda. The men's team will be led by Federico Pellegrino, silver in the sprint of Pyeonchang 2018, a real point of reference for blue cross-country skiing; with him will also be team-print mate Francesco De Fabiani, from Aosta Valley like Pellegrino, Davide Graz, at the Olympic debut, Maicol Rastelli, Giandomenico Salvadori and Paolo Ventura. You are also the girls who will make up the women's team: Lucia Scardoni, Anna Comarella, Martina Di Centa, Caterina Ganz, Greta Laurent and Cristina Pittin. For Di Centa, Ganz and Pittin this is the first Olympics in which they will participate. The Olympic cross-country skiing program will open on Saturday 5 February 2022, with the women's skiathlon, scheduled at 7:45 am Italian time (3:45 pm local time).
