Cross-country skiing: here is the composition of the Italian teams for the 2021/22 season

With an official press release from the FISI, the formations for the next competitive season have been announced, the first with the new technical director Alfred Stauder.

With the appointment of the new technical director, Alfred Stauder, it is already time for the Italy of cross-country skiing to think about the next (Olympic) season. Through the FISI website, in the morning, the compositions of the various national teams were presented. Federico Pellegrino and Francesco De Fabiani, who will hold some meetings with the German coach Cramer together with the Russian cross-country skiers, will form the '' World Cup '' team, a sort of elite team, also in view of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games. Five elements, on the other hand, will be part of the men's team A, whose manager will be Fulvio Scola; they are: Giandomenico Salvadori, Micheal Hellweger, Paolo Ventura, Davide Graz and Simone Daprà. The same contingent also for the women's team A, which will be led by Renato Pasini. The five girls who have been included in the team are: Anna Comarella, Martina Di Centa, Francesca Franchi, Greta Laurent and Lucia Scardoni. The men's and women's '' Milano-Cortina 2026 '' teams were also presented. The men, led by Stefano Saracco, will be nine: Riccardo Bernardi, Luca Del Fabbro, Michele Gasperi, Francesco Manzoni, Ivan Mariani, Simone Mocellini, Lorenzo Romano and Giovanni Ticcò. Six, however, the girls included in the women's team, which will always be followed by Renato Pasini: Martina Bellini, Caterina Ganz, Emilie Jeantet, Valentina Maj, Nicole Monsorno and Cristina Pittin. Finally, five of them will be part of team A2 observed, coordinated by Fulvio Scola, but who will train with their respective clubs; they are: Mirco Bertolina, Giacomo Gabrielli, Stefano Gardener, Dietmar Noeckler and Maicol Rastelli. The composition of the junior team will be announced in the coming days.
