According to reports from the Swedish media, there are few chances to see the Sprint Olympic champion at the start of the world championship in Seefeld (Aut), scheduled from February 20th to March 3rd.

Nilsson was injured at the end of the semifinals of Sprint in the classic of Otepää disputed last Saturday, even managing to access the final, but then not get off more on the track. Initially it was not thought about a serious injury, but it turned out worse than expected.
In recent days, the renunciation of the participation of the races of Ulricehamn (Swe), where between Saturday and Sunday are scheduled a distance test skating and the relay. Today, however, the Swedish national coach Rikard Grip and team doctor Magnus Oscarsson have spoken: "The chances of taking part in the world championships are very few - explained the first". The second has instead stated that it is a thigh muscle injury that will require a few weeks of rehabilitation.
In the event that Stina Nilsson does not take part in the World Championships in Seefeld it would be a very heavy absence, since in the season the Swedish already boasts four victories and a second place.
